Event Seller Terms
Last updated September 27, 2026
These terms apply when an organizer submits an event, enables Jersey Alerts ticketing or uses QR check-in. They supplement the Jersey Alerts site terms and the organizer’s agreement with Stripe.
1. Authority and account information
You represent that you organize the event or have authority from the organizer to publish the listing and sell the stated admission. Account, business, contact and payout information must be accurate and current. You may not impersonate a venue, agency, charity, performer or other organization.
2. Event and inventory accuracy
You are responsible for the title, description, schedule, venue, address, accessibility details, age restrictions, capacity, ticket types and all promises made to buyers. You may sell only inventory you control. Speculative sales, duplicate inventory and sales above lawful or venue capacity are prohibited.
3. Review and publication
Jersey Alerts may approve, reject, edit for clarity, unpublish or cancel a listing or ticket-sales access when information is incomplete, unsafe, deceptive, unlawful or inconsistent with site policy. Approval is not a government permit, safety certification, endorsement or guarantee of attendance.
4. Payments, platform fee and payouts
Ticket payments are processed for your Stripe connected account. Jersey Alerts currently applies a 8.00% platform fee to the ticket subtotal. Stripe processing charges, taxes, reserves, refunds, disputes and payout timing are governed by Stripe and your connected-account agreement. You authorize the stated application fee and any transaction adjustments needed to process a valid refund or dispute.
5. Refunds, changes and cancellations
You must publish a clear refund policy before sales open and honor it. You must promptly notify buyers of cancellation, postponement, venue changes or material program changes and provide the remedies required by your policy and applicable law. Jersey Alerts may pause sales or invalidate tickets after a confirmed refund.
6. Admission and check-in
You are responsible for staffing the entrance, maintaining a charged compatible device and admitting holders of valid tickets. QR codes are single use. You may not copy, reuse or knowingly accept a refunded, void or already-used credential.
7. Buyer information
Buyer and attendee information may be used only to fulfill the event, provide necessary event updates and meet lawful recordkeeping duties. You may not sell it, expose it publicly or add buyers to unrelated marketing without the consent required by law.
8. Prohibited conduct
Fraud, deceptive scarcity, hidden mandatory charges, unauthorized resale, illegal events, intellectual-property infringement, unsafe instructions, discriminatory denial of service and attempts to bypass payment or ticket security are prohibited.
9. Chargebacks and cooperation
You must keep accurate event, attendance and refund records and cooperate promptly when Stripe or Jersey Alerts requests evidence for a payment dispute. Responsibility for losses follows the Stripe connected-account terms, applicable law and the facts of the transaction.
10. Suspension and termination
Jersey Alerts may pause ticket sales, withhold site access to the extent permitted by Stripe, remove listings or terminate organizer access to protect buyers, investigate fraud, respond to legal process or enforce these terms. Existing buyer obligations survive removal.
11. Support
Event-operation and admission questions are the organizer’s responsibility. For Jersey Alerts payment-record, listing or QR-system support, use the contact form.
