Use of Jersey Alerts

Jersey Alerts provides New Jersey alerts, public camera links, weather information, news, community submissions, and admin-published updates for general situational awareness. Information may come from official feeds, public sources, admins, moderators, and approved member submissions.

No Emergency Service

Jersey Alerts is not a replacement for 911, emergency dispatch, police, fire, EMS, utility providers, transit agencies, weather authorities, or official government notices. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate official agency.

Live Member Submissions Only

Member alert submissions must be current, New Jersey relevant, and captured at or near the reported scene. Local submissions require a live photo or video and current location data. Stored, old, unrelated, staged, misleading, or reposted media may be rejected or removed.

Do not trespass, interfere with emergency responders, violate traffic laws, enter restricted areas, record where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, harass anyone, or put yourself or others in danger to capture content.

Review Before Publication

Member submissions are pending until an admin or moderator reviews them. Jersey Alerts may approve, reject, edit for clarity, add context, archive, remove, or decline to publish any submission at its discretion.

Community Events

Event organizers are responsible for accurate dates, locations, admission details, accessibility information, ticket links, and lawful use of submitted images. Approval is not an endorsement. Jersey Alerts may update, decline, remove, or mark an event cancelled when details are inaccurate, unsafe, expired, or no longer verifiable.

Standard event submissions are free. Any future paid featured placement will purchase clearly described promotional services and placement, not guaranteed attendance, sales, impressions, or editorial coverage.

Rights You Grant Us

By submitting content, you confirm that you own it or have permission to submit it, and you grant Jersey Alerts a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, edit for clarity, publish, archive, display, distribute, and promote the submission on Jersey Alerts websites, apps, newsletters, and social media channels.

Accuracy and Public Sources

Alerts can change quickly. Public feeds, cameras, road notices, weather alerts, and member submissions may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or cleared by the source before our page updates. Use Jersey Alerts as situational awareness and confirm critical decisions with official sources.

Prohibited Content

Do not submit false reports, spam, copyrighted material you do not control, threats, harassment, hate content, private personal information, graphic exploitation, sexual content, illegal content, or anything that could interfere with public safety or emergency response.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for protecting your login information and for activity under your account. Jersey Alerts may suspend, ban, restrict, or remove accounts or submissions that violate these terms, create legal risk, or harm the community.

Email Updates

During signup, members may opt in to receive updates from Jersey Alerts. You can ask to be removed from non-essential email lists by contacting us.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on Jersey Alerts infringes your copyright, use our DMCA policy to send a takedown notice.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, including account details, submissions, location data attached to alerts, and site analytics.

Changes

We may update these terms as Jersey Alerts evolves. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
