If you submit an alert or community event, we may collect its title, description, media, source or ticket links, location, dates, organizer contact details, upload time, review status, and the account that submitted it.

Live Alert Location

Local member alert submissions require current location data so admins can verify that the alert is relevant and can place approved alerts on the map. Do not submit an alert if you do not want the event location reviewed by Jersey Alerts staff.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the site, authenticate accounts, review submissions, publish approved alerts, prevent abuse, send requested updates, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.

Email

We may send verification, password recovery, beta approval, account, safety, and update emails. You may request removal from non-essential update emails by contacting us.

Analytics and Cookies

We use cookies and analytics tools to keep users logged in, protect accounts, understand site usage, and improve Jersey Alerts. Your browser may allow you to limit cookies, but some features may stop working.

Public Sources and Third Parties

Jersey Alerts displays information from public agencies, public feeds, cameras, news sources, and social platforms. Those sources may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell member account information. We may share information when needed to operate Jersey Alerts, protect the site, respond to lawful requests, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

We use reasonable safeguards such as password hashing, login throttling, CSRF protection, and review workflows. No website can guarantee perfect security.
