Requirements to sell event tickets

These checks protect buyers, organizers and the integrity of the Jersey Alerts event calendar.

1

Authority to sell

You must organize the event or have permission from the organizer to create and sell its admission. Speculative listings and tickets you do not control are prohibited.

2

Accurate event details

Provide the real date, time, venue, address, accessibility guidance, age rules, admission terms and a current organizer contact.

3

Verified payout account

Complete Stripe’s identity or business verification and enable both charges and payouts before ticket sales open.

4

Lawful inventory

Ticket quantities may not exceed the capacity or inventory you are authorized to sell. Each ticket type needs a truthful name, price and quantity.

5

Clear refund policy

Publish a policy before accepting payment and honor it. Explain what happens if the event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed.

6

Safe, lawful event

The event and its promotion must follow applicable law, venue rules and Jersey Alerts policies. Fraud, discrimination, dangerous activity and deceptive claims are grounds for removal.

7

Guest support

Monitor the organizer email, resolve admission questions and provide a workable check-in process. Buyers should know whom to contact before event day.

8

Fees and disputes

Jersey Alerts currently charges a 8.00% platform fee from organizer proceeds. Stripe processing charges, refunds, disputes and any applicable taxes are separate.

What Jersey Alerts reviews

Editorial review checks whether the listing is suitable and sufficiently complete for publication. It is not a license, permit, insurance review, legal approval or guarantee of the event. Organizers remain responsible for operating the event and fulfilling every paid admission.
